Description
RSU stands for Regional Special Teaching Group and is aimed at students who need a higher teacher density and smaller teaching groups.
RSU -Järva currently consists of three different groups. Southern and Northern, which focus on grades 1-6. Then there is a group called Järva 7-9 for older students. Currently, the groups consist of 8-10 students from different schools and about 5 staff per group with various competencies. By autumn 2026, there will be 2 groups (4-6 and 7-9) both located in the same premises in Akalla.
Students who attend an RSU group (regional special teaching group) are placed there by their home school for a limited time.
We are now looking for a staff member for the 7-9 group that operates in premises near Akalla primary school.
Your role
We are looking for a certified teacher with a license to teach English and mathematics primarily in grades 7-9. We also wish that you have qualifications and licenses in as many subjects as possible, preferably in Swedish/SVA.
In addition to teaching the students, the assignment includes supporting the students throughout the school day and also being a mentor. This means, among other things, that you will also participate in other teachers' lessons and engage in students' activities during breaks. This is to work together with other educators to create the best opportunities for students' learning and development both academically and socially.
Collaboration within the workgroup is important, and it is essential to be flexible and open to new ways of teaching and working to meet the students' needs.
A prerequisite for success is to create good relationships with students and their guardians.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Educated teacher with teaching certification with qualifications in English and mathematics for grades 7-9.
- You can express yourself well in both spoken and written Swedish.
Meritorious
- Qualifications in several subjects relevant to the current grade levels.
- Previous work within LSU, CSU, RSU, or equivalent operations.
- Experience working in socio-economically disadvantaged areas.
Other competencies
You are a confident leader in the classroom and have experience meeting children's diverse needs.
You easily build relationships with students and see this as a tool for success in your work.
You have a positive view of students and believe that all children want to succeed with the right conditions.
You are attentive and flexible and can easily collaborate with other staff.
You have good collaboration skills and can create good relationships with guardians and other external actors.
You are used to documenting students' development and have good communication skills in both speech and writing.
You have good digital competence.
We place great importance on personal suitability for working with the specific student group included in RSU.
